My name is Leigh Tremblay and this is my second class toward my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I completed my Bachelor of Education in 2015 and my Certificate of Extended Studies in Inclusive Education in 2016. I have taught grades 2/3, 3/4, 4, and now 4/5. This is my third (ish) year of classroom teaching, as prior to teaching in my own classroom I subbed for a year. Not only is teaching challenging and rewarding, but pushes me out of my comfort zone and keeps me on my toes!
I am not by any means the most tech savvy teacher or the most seasoned social media user out there. Needless to say, I have LOTS to learn, hence my choosing of this course. That being said, I found the idea of an online class that focuses on engaging with blogging and social media a little intimidating. However, I have been loving the collaborative nature of the course and have already learned so much by chatting with my classmates! Secondly, I have heard a lot of great things about this course, so it piqued my interest. My reason for pursuing my graduate studies is to stretch my thinking and try new things, so I figured, why not give this course a try?
I am looking forward to embarking on this new and exciting journey this term with a wonderful group of people!
